Portland, Maine — Diversified Business Communications announced the launch of SPAR Europe, its first European based conference on 3D imaging, after acquiring Plant-Tech, the European Plant Engineering and Design Conference.
“A balance of brand expansion and acquisitions has long been a successful growth strategy for Diversified,” commented, Nancy Hasselback, President and CEO of Diversified Communications. “These opportunities in Europe allow us to expand the 3D imaging market into additional market sectors as well as another geographic region for our SPAR customers.”
Mike Lodato, Vice President responsible for overseeing the SPAR brand, is building upon Diversified’s initial investment in the 3D imaging industry made last year with the purchase of SPAR Point Research LLC. “Bringing our expertise in producing trade events and conferences to new markets is an effective way to further invest in the industries we serve.” Within one year after acquiring Spar Point Research LLC, Diversified will have produced SPAR events in the US, Japan and Europe.
SPAR Europe 2010 will be held in conjunction with Plant-Tech 2010, December 7-8, at the Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre, the Netherlands. SPAR Europe will incorporate Plant-Tech’s specialty of technologies for plant design, plant engineering and plant information management along with SPAR’s workshops and technical seminars on the business and technology of capturing, managing and integrating 3D information.
